There are a couple of methods for cleaning carpet which include both wet and dry but the most effective is steam cleaning.

I think steam cleaning or hot water extraction is the best method for ensuring the cleanest carpet.

The advantage of using this method of cleaning is the flushing and rinsing of the harmful dirt, germs, pollen and other harmful microbes that get trapped in the carpet fibers which can aggravate allergies in human beings.
