Forget Steam Cleaning

Everyone knows that when you get your carpets steam cleaned (actually hot water extraction - there's no real steam - that's only water vapor) your carpets are wet for hours and sometimes even days. Have you ever seen the dirty, mucky water that goes into the recovery tank of a carpet cleaning machine? If your carpets are still wet, then what do you think that wetness is? It's the same dirty, mucky water that went into the recovery tank that's still in your carpet. That's why as the carpet finally begins to dry, the spots and stains begin to show back up along with the stink.

I think any method would be better than steam (wet) cleaning.
